The eastern part of the unit, with an area of \u200b\u200babout 2500 meters, was included and supplied with 7 drip irrigation lines with a length of 75 meters for each line and planted with various types of drought-resistant plants.<\/span><\/span><\/p><p style=\"text-align: left\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;color: #003366;font-family: Cairo\"><strong>Goals<\/strong><\/span><\/p><p style=\"text-align: left\"><span style=\"color: #003366;font-size: 14pt;font-family: Cairo\"><strong><u>The unit aims to:<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p><ol style=\"text-align: left\"><li><span style=\"color: #333333;font-family: Cairo\">Conducting research and studies in the fields related to tropical plants, environmental physiology, microbiology, cell biology, molecular and genomics biology.<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"color: #333333;font-family: Cairo\">Assisting the scientific activity (postgraduate studies and research) of the faculty and university by training young researchers on molecular and genomic biology methods in various studies, environmental physiology and tropical plant studies.<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"color: #333333;font-family: Cairo\">Serving the local community through the applications of research results related to the study of tropical plants and their extracts and medicinal effects, as well as studies of cell biology and molecular biology.<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"color: #333333;font-family: Cairo\">Using the latest biological technologies and methods to raise the production efficiency of some strains of tropical plants.<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"color: #333333;font-family: Cairo\">Using the latest agricultural techniques and methods in the process of producing some strains of plants that are resistant to difficult climatic conditions.<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"color: #333333;font-family: Cairo\">Attracting research projects, whether local or international, interested in studying agricultural or medical tropical plants and their extracts, environmental physiology, microbiology studies, and molecular and genomic biology studies, while providing the necessary scientific studies and research for them.<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"color: #333333;font-family: Cairo\">Scientific cooperation between the unit and research centers, universities and authorities, whether local or international, to implement the protocols concluded with Aswan University and Faculty of Science, with the possibility of concluding cooperation protocols with various authorities through the university.<\/span><\/li><\/ol><p style=\"text-align: left\"><span style=\"color: #003366;font-family: Cairo\"><strong>Administrative structure<\/strong><\/span><\/p><p style=\"text-align: left\"><span style=\"color: #333333;font-family: Cairo\">The unit\u2019s board of directors is formed based on the Resolution of the university president, as follows:<\/span><\/p><ul><li><span style=\"color: #333333;font-family: Cairo\">The University President_ Head of the council<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"color: #333333;font-family: Cairo\">The Vice President for Community Service and Environment Development_ Deputy of the council.<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"color: #333333;font-family: Cairo\">A member of Academic staff in the Botany Department_ director of the unit<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"color: #333333;font-family: Cairo\">(5) from Academic staff_ Members<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"color: #333333;font-family: Cairo\">Financial member.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p style=\"text-align: left\"><span style=\"color: #333333;font-family: Cairo\">Taking into account commitment to Article (311) of the Executive Regulations for Universities Regulatory Act No. 49 of 1972<\/span><\/p><p style=\"text-align: left\"><span style=\"font-family: Cairo;color: #003366\"><strong>Achievements of tropical plants study assisting the scientific activity (postgraduate studies and research) for the faculty and university, as well as local community service through the applying research results related to the study of
