sans-serif;color: #000000\">Aswan University developed a<span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>\u00a0<span style=\"color: #0000ff;text-decoration: underline\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;text-decoration: underline\" href=\"https:\/\/aswu.edu.eg\/en\/about\/policies-and-strategies-aswu\/sustainable-transport\/\">sustainable commuting strategy<\/a><\/span>\u00a0<\/strong><\/span>to promote and changing the culture of daily transportation for faculty staff, their assistants and university employees, improving their physical and health fitness and encouraging them to use active mobility methods instead of relying on automated transportation that consumes fuel and pollutes the environment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color: #000000\">Therefore, the university develops a strategy for the \u201cA Bike for every Student\u201d project launched by the Ministry of Higher Education within the Ministry\u2019s plans for sustainable mobility.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color: #000000\">This strategy aims to support a good and cleaner social and environmental climate, and to increase the demand for physical exercise and races between different groups within Egyptian universities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color: #000000\"><strong>Objectives:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc\">\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color: #000000\">Work to encourage walking to and from the campus according to the distance, for example \u2013 to and from the College of Education and Specific Education Complex, College of Engineering and Commerce complex.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color: #000000\">Sustainable Mobility Strategy<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color: #000000\">Encouraging the use of university buses to travel to and from the university<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color: #000000\">Providing special bicycle paths covering all areas of the university to be used as an environmentally friendly means of commuting or practicing sports, for example \u2013 the Sahara campus, the New Aswan campus, and others.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color: #000000\">Provide adequate \u201cpark\u201d storage places.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color: #000000\">Provision of maintenance units and spare parts.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color: #000000\">Organizing monthly festivals and events inside the university.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color: #000000\">Participation in a festival at the university level for each semester<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color: #000000\">Aswan University undertakes some actions to promote more sustainable commuting by the following:<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color: #000000\">Provision of\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;text-decoration: underline\" href=\"https:\/\/aswu.edu.eg\/en\/schedule-of-buses-at-the-university\/\">subsidized<\/a><\/span><\/strong><\/span> buses\u00a0for staff.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color: #000000\">Provision of bicycle parking &amp; storage facilities.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color: #000000\">Provision of bicycle tracks.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color: #000000\">Provision of pedestrian tracks.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color: #000000\">In\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;text-decoration: underline\" href=\"https:\/\/agr.aswu.edu.eg\/president-of-aswan-university-starting-the-cycling-marathon-under-the-slogan-of-the-presidential-initiative-sport-is-national-security\/\">October 29, 2020<\/a><\/span><\/strong><\/span>\u00a0\u00a0Prof. Dr. Ahmed Ghallab, President of Aswan University, participated in the cycling marathon, which was organized by the Faculty of Physical Education<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color: #000000\">Where Dr. Ahmed Ghallab confirmed that this marathon is being held within the framework of the initiative of the President of the Republic under the slogan \u201cSports is a national security\u201d and confirmed on the state\u2019s keenness on paying attention to sports and fitness for university students and working to activate student activities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color:
