To:<\/span><\/strong><\/li><\/ul><ul style=\"list-style-type: circle\"><li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color: #000000\">encourage walking and reduce dependency on cars<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color: #000000\">Protect the environment and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by limiting the use of cars.\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color: #000000\">Improve the health and wellbeing of faculty staff, employees and students through encouraging walkability and movement.<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color: #000000\">Aswan University is working to\u00a0prioritize pedestrian access on campus\u00a0through the<span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>\u00a0<span style=\"color: #0000ff;text-decoration: underline\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;text-decoration: underline\" href=\"http:\/\/aswu.edu.eg\/en\/gallery\/\">development of sidewalks<\/a>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/span>for walking by lighting, shading them, and making them more suitable for walking.\u00a0<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color: #000000\">The University also supports giving priority to the entry of pedestrians into the university campus by applying the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;color: #0000ff\"><strong>&#8220;<a style=\"color: #0000ff;text-decoration: underline\" href=\"https:\/\/aswu.edu.eg\/en\/about\/policies-and-strategies-aswu\/sustainable-transport\/\">Sustainable Mobility Policy<\/a>&#8220;<\/strong><\/span>, which aims to encourage and improve sustainable mobility to and from the university campus, change the culture of daily transportation for faculty members, their assistants, and university employees, and improve their physical and health fitness.
