During\u00a02022\/2023<\/b>\u00a0Aswan University has continued its cooperation with the Hangamelha Foundation (We will beautify it) for sustainable development, by which there was several events related to such as;<\/span><\/div>
On\u00a0the 2\u00a0th\u00a0Nov 2022<\/b>,<\/span>\u00a0Aswan University participates in Cultivating 1,000 fruitful trees in Fares village, in cooperation with Hayaa Karima and Hangamelha Foundations<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/div>

Aswan University_ headed by Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Othman_ University President, in cooperation with the Foundations of hayaa Karima_ Decent Life, and Hangamelha_ \u201cWe Will Beautify it\u201d_ participated in planting 1000 fruitful trees in Fares village in the Kom Ombo Centre, which was chosen as the best environmentally friendly village, and among the first green sustainable model villages, in addition to its inclusion in the presidential initiative of Hayaa Karima.<\/span><\/p>

Aswan University offers a distinguished academic and scientific model in cooperation with governmental and nongovernmental organizations in Climate adaption.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Aswan University has a unit\u00a0\u201c<\/strong>Natural Hazard Unit<\/strong><\/a>\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/span>\u00a0dedicated to studying environmental disasters and providing support and advice to all governmental and non-governmental organizations.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

One form of these collaborations is the collaboration in \u201c<\/u><\/b>The Center of Excellence for Water<\/a><\/u><\/b>\u201d<\/u><\/b>\u00a0<\/span>(life of project: February 2019 \u2013 February 2024)<\/b>\u00a0between Aswan University and the USAID.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

The Center of Excellence for Water is designed to be a state of the art, modern applied research center located within the premises of Alexandria University (AU), Egypt. The Center will be the hub for research and a vibrant network of Egyptian industries, research centers, and ministries.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

The consortium also includes a number of US and Egyptian private sector companies and NGOs:\u00a0SEKEM Group, Lotus Company, Demerdash Group, Engazaat Development, and the NGO IBSAR, as well as AECOM, A`mriton LLC, Apogee Instruments, Carollo Engineers, FREDsense Technologies, Purolite Corporation and Waters Corporation.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

One more significant unit at Aswan University is the\u00a0\u201c<\/strong>Environmental Studies and Development Unit<\/strong><\/a><\/span><\/span>\u201d that is providing its services, consulting, tests and Analyzes for Governmental, Non-governmental organizations and companies in the biggest solar photovoltaic park in the world \u201cBenban solar park<\/strong>\u201d that is a power complex of 41 solar power plants being developed in Benban, located in the Aswan.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Within workshops,\u00a0Aswan University has conducted some workshops such as Water Resources Management in the Middle East and North Africa , For More details,\u00a0Click Here<\/strong><\/a><\/span><\/span>.\u00a0<\/u><\/span><\/p>

Aswan University cooperated with the Hangamelha Foundation (We will beautify it) for sustainable development, which launched the “Green Initiative<\/strong><\/a><\/span><\/span>” student volunteer program.<\/span><\/p>

\u00a0 Which aims to beautify the governorate of Aswan and the university with fruit trees, which include olive, lemon and fig trees.<\/span><\/p>

The importance of this initiative also lies in increasing the green space and developing awareness among university students and the outside community in general about the importance of trees in preserving the environment, confronting climate changes, and rationalizing water consumption.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
