Aswan University has a special vision to support underrepresented groups by providing mentoring and support to students, staff and faculty. To integrate them into the university community and to ensure that they obtain all their rights<\/span><\/p>

Where the university played its role in mentoring by The Social Solidarity Unit<\/a><\/span><\/strong><\/span> at Aswan University has launched an initiative that calls for equal inclusion, a “People Like Us<\/a>“<\/span><\/strong><\/span> initiative to integrate and support students with disabilities in the university community.<\/span><\/p>

During\u00a02022\/2023<\/b>, Aswan university had several workshops such as; Workshop entitled “Good Thinking Methods<\/b>“, In cooperation with the Egyptian Volunteer Bank, the Social Solidarity Unit of the University of Aswan was organized within the framework of the work of the outreach and personality-building activities. The workshop on “Good thinking methods” will work on building the capabilities and skills of students.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>
\u00a0<\/div>
The workshop dealt with many aspects, including:<\/span><\/div>
\u00a0<\/span><\/div>
1 – The concept of sound thinking as a skill that can be learned and mastered.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>
2 – How to acquire proper thinking skills.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>
3 – The difference between proper thinking and negative thinking.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>
4 – How to deal with problems objectively.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>
5 – The ingredients of the successful person and personal strengths, and development.<\/span><\/div>

On another aspect of the university’s support for underrepresented groups,<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>

The university has prepared a project (Preparation of Teachers of Refugees and Migrants<\/a>)<\/span><\/strong><\/span> which aims to prepare male and female teachers who deal with children of immigrants, refugees and immigrants to apply the correct law. And scientific ways to teach them and get them out of their suffering from harsh psychological conditions through the development of curricula and content on which the project is based by a specialized university professor from various Egyptian, British, Greek, and Cypriot universities, including Aswan University.<\/span><\/p>

This project is considered the first in the world in terms of the idea, the subject and the humanity, and the importance of this project lies in the upbringing of future generations and not leaving them as easy prey and subject to deviation, extremism, and hunting by the stalkers.<\/span><\/p>

Aswan University has participated in two workshops for this project in the years 2020<\/a> <\/strong><\/span>and 2021<\/a><\/span><\/strong><\/span>, respectively.<\/span><\/p>

Aswan University has also provided mentoring by supporting underrepresented groups by \u00a0“organizing an awareness day on women’s issues”<\/a><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>

Aswan University participated in the activities of the National Council for Women in cooperation with the Women of the South Foundation and the Faculty of Physical Education at Aswan University under the title: Unite.” End violence against women now”.<\/a><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>
