This Village is known for its production of Fishing nets by hand, especially since about 1933, which can be considered a traditional handicraft that has been passed down from generation to generation and continues to this day in this village.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Craft of Producing fishing nets going on a lot of levels, such as:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Buying a row Material by kilo\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. In the upper side of nests, the miqat and pepper are inserted.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. At the bottom of the nets, the miqat, a rope and a lead (heel) are inserted.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The work takes to finish one fishing net one or two days, this a hard tired work\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    The craft men complain from the traders will exploit the excesses of the raw material, the depression of workmanship and the lack of demand of fishermen to buy from them as it was in the past, and most of the craftsmen have abandoned this craft due to the lack of fish and fishing activities, as well as the weak income in this craft, and the lack of interest of young people and new generations on this craft and their travel to Hurghada and tourist cities to work in it and abandon the village.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    \u2013 This distinctive craft of this village is actually threatened with extinction and disappearance completely in a way that calls on officials to intervene urgently and immediately to save the existence and continuation of this unique and distinctive craft of this village\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    This Village Suffer from poverty and complete deprivation from the basics of life and live , the Homes of This Village are very old and it is threatened to fall at any time, and its people suffer from The narrowness of life, the lack of income, and they live a completely inhuman or dignified life.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    \u00a0We ask the officials to intervene urgently and seriously in order to improve the conditions of this village and achieve a decent life for them.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
