Prof.Ahmed Ghallab \u2013Aswan University President confirmed the university prepares for hosting the first week of African universities which will be held in the period from 19\/5 to 25\/5 and this is in the frame of the announcement of President. Abdel Fattah El Sisi in which he announced Aswan is the capital of African youth for this year.<\/span>
\n He explained the university will host 20 delegations from different African which means universities (40) individuals in each university delegation representing students, academic staff, administrators and heads of delegations in cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports.<\/span>
\n This is coming through the press of Prof.Ahmed Gallab with the interviewers and journalists in Aswan government in attendance of Prof.Abdul Rahman Abdul Basset-Acting vice for Community service and environment development, Prof.Ali Abbas Dandrwy- the former vice president and the supervisor of Children’s University and a number of academic staff.<\/span>
\n Aswan university president explained the week of African youth universities will include a lot of artistic, cultural and scientific activities in addition to organizing a number of athletic competitions like Soccer, table tennis, swimming, beach volleyball and marathon running.<\/span>
\n Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, agreed to host a number of African delegations at the youth hostel in Aswan. He also organized a number of sports competitions at Aswan Sports Academy in the framework of the cooperation of all concerned bodies with Aswan University for succession the week of African universities.<\/span>
\n He pointed out that the past period has witnessed the formation of a number of different committees that will organize the events of the African Universities Week, which will include the transfer of the delegations of African universities to the city of Abu Simbel tourist to observe the phenomenon of sun rays on the face of King Ramses II on 22 October.<\/span>
\n Ghallab said the last period witnessed a number of the good news as the opening of the branch of Quality Assurance Unit in Aswan New City which gives approval for the schools in different governments like( (Aswan – Luxor – Qena – Red Sea) and the work begins in the next academic year. In addition, the opening of a branch of the Egyptian University for e-learning in Aswan to award different degrees. The study in this section is considered an alternative to open education but more quality and discipline. Allocation of a piece of land in the university’s area of (2000) acres to establish a center of excellence in cooperation with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology in order to serve both the university students and the entire outside community in Aswan Governorate.<\/span>
\n He pointed to in the current time 6 new buildings and playgrounds are established in the headquarter of Aswan University It includes a multi-stadium, a five-ball court, two tennis courts, and a beach ball court, and will be completed in the next few months.<\/span>
\n Prof.Ahmed Ghallab confirmed there is no any dereliction in the medical services that are presented for the patients in Aswan University Hospital despite the overcrowding and severe pressure on the hospital as a hospital at the governorate level. The new building is being developed over the kidney section, which will provide 200 additional beds, bringing the total capacity of the hospital to 600 beds and is expected to open in the next two months.<\/span>
\n He added recently the hospital uses the surveillance cameras in all floors of the hospital to watch the work and solve all problems of the hospital immediately, also the problem of<\/span>
\n The Zakat Fund has been in operation for more than two years at Nasser Social Bank for various reasons. The members of this committee have been restructured in preparation for the disbursement of the funds. The last period has also solved the problem of dialysis capsules and the provision of about 3,000 capsules for the relief of patients.<\/span><\/p>\n
