\u00a0 \u00a0As a part of President Abdul Fattah Al Sisi’s declaration that Aswan is the capital of African youth 2019, Aswan University continues its preparations to the first African University Week 19th to 25th October 2019. About 21 African countries and more than 20 Egyptian universities will take part in the event.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 Prof. Ghalab said that the African Universities Week aims at promoting the partnership and cooperation between the African and Egyptian universities, enhancing cultural dialog among the students of the Black Continent, and providing the African youth leaders with significant information. He added that the event will include sports, art, cultural, scientific, and technological activities.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 The vice president of graduate studies and research Prof. Ayman Othman said that several specialized committees have been formed for the success of the Week’s activities, such as protocol, reception, inauguration, shows, media, scientific, technological, cultural, artistic, sports and awards committees.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 Prof. Abdurrahman Abdul Basset, the deputy chairman of the higher committee and the general coordinator of the Week, declared that the participating African countries are (Tanzania, Togo, Zambia, Sierra Leone, C\u00f4te d’Ivoire, Mali, Malawi, Liberia, Nigeria, Central Africa, Sudan, Somalia, Senegal, Cameroon, Gabon, Niger, Uganda, Chad, Benin, Angola, Mozambique) where each African delegation has between 10 and 15 students.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 He pointed out that the participating Egyptian universities till now are Al-Azhar, Alexandria, Ain Shams, Assiut, Tanta, Helwan, Monoufia, Suez Canal, south valley, Kafr Al-Sheikh, Sohag, Port Said, Damanhour, Suez, Al-Arish, New Valley, Nahda, Sinai, Deraya, Arab Academy of Science, Technology and Maritime Transport).<\/span><\/p>\n
