Aswan University, under the patronage of Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Osman, President of Aswan University, participated in the 10th Aswan Festival for Arts and Culture, held in Aswan. The event was also under patronage of Major General. Ashraf Attia, Governor of Aswan, and Dr. Nevin El-Kilani, Minister of Culture. The festival was attended by the artist. Ahmed El-Shafei, President of the Festival, Prof. Loai Saad El-Din Nasrat, Vice President of Aswan University for Education and Student Affairs, Mr. Emad Fathi, Head of the Central Administration for Southern Upper Egypt Cultural Region, Ms. Nagwa Ahmed Sayed, Director of Aswan Culture Branch, Dr. Hossam Ramadan, Coordinator of the African Languages Department at the Institute of African and Nile states Research and Studies , Dr. Ayman Abdel-Ghaffar, Vice Dean of Faculty of Law, and Dr. Maged El-Gebally, Faculty of Arts, Aswan University.<\/span><\/p>\n

Prof. Loai Saad El-Din stated that the university\u2019s participation in this cultural event was aimed at developing the artistic and creative skills of students. He added that a number of distinguished Academic Staff, both Egyptian and foreign, along with students from various faculties, also participated in the festival.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Vice President further mentioned that over 250 students from the university attended the event, coordinated by the Youth Care Department, the University Hostels Department, and the Transportation Department, to interact positively with Egyptian and Arab artistic heritage. He also confirmed that the university would participate in the Sun Alignment Ceremony at the Abu Simbel Temple later in the day.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ms. Nagwa Ahmed explained that the university annually provides support through fruitful and constructive cooperation between the Cultural Palaces and the university, contributing to effective and successful participation in the festival. The participating groups presented enjoyable artistic performances, including the Ismailia troupe and the Palestine troupe, which showcased folkloric and artistic performances at Fawzi Fawzi Theatre in Aswan on the final day. The Palestinian troupe also presented an artistic epic that highlighted the significance of martyrs, the value of the homeland, and the sanctity of belief. At the conclusion of the performances, students took commemorative photos with the participating artistic and folkloric groups.<\/span><\/p>\n
