Aswan University hosted today, Wednesday, the first student awareness seminars of the \u201cDecent Life\u201d Foundation under the title \u201cEnhancing the Volunteer Work Efforts of University Youth\u201d, which is held under the auspices of Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Othman, President of Aswan University, and in the presence of Prof. Loay Saad El-Din Nasrat, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Hamada Ragab, General Coordinator of Decent Life at Aswan University, Dr. Mohamed Salah, General Coordinator of the Decent Life Initiative in Aswan Governorate, Dr. Shaima Kamal, Member of the Decent Life Operations Room, Dr. Marcos Abdel-Malak, Coordinator of the Decent Life Foundation in Aswan, Colonel Ahmed Galal, Director of the Decent Life Foundation Office in Aswan, deans and vice deans of colleges, a group of academic staff, and a large number of students from various colleges of the university.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dr. Louay Saad El-Din stressed that the symposium comes within a series of awareness symposia organized by the Decent Life Foundation inside universities in all governorates of the Republic to spread the values \u200b\u200bof volunteer work and community service among university youth within the framework of the presidential initiative \u201cDecent Life\u201d, directing a message of thanks and appreciation to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the New Republic, considering the initiative he launched as the largest development project in the history of modern Egypt, which works to advance the wheel of sustainable development, which is an icon of the new republic in building the contemporary Egyptian person.<\/span><\/p>\n

His Excellency added that the state’s achievements are represented in the major national projects that serve the community to face the challenges over the past eight years, as well as its journey in supporting the most needy villages, pointing out that the university seeks to enhance the volunteer work efforts of the university’s youth through the field visits it organizes for students to view the national projects that have been accomplished by the Decent Life Foundation.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dr. Mohamed Salah, General Coordinator of the Decent Life Foundation in Aswan Governorate, complimented Aswan University for being a vital participant in the Decent Life Initiative in Aswan. It is a presidential initiative in which Egyptians work together to achieve a common objective and project that is unaffected by external conditions. There is a great determination to complete this project and fulfill its objectives.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dr. Shaima Kamal, a member of the Decent Life Operations Room, emphasized that university students can focus their graduation projects and scientific research on the project’s goals to help support the initiative. They should also endeavor to participate in national projects as volunteers. The symposium opened with the national anthem, which was followed by the recital of Holy Quran verses and the screening of a documentary video about the Decent Life projects in Aswan. Dr. Mohamed Salah examined the progress made by the Decent Life Foundation in Aswan Governorate’s villages and centers.<\/span>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Dr. Marcos Abdel-Malek, Coordinator of the Decent Life Foundation in Aswan, stated that Aswan University is one of the largest government universities supporting the project and the presidential initiative \u201cDecent Life\u201d in all fields, and that the foundation aims, through the activities, to educate Egyptian university youth about the goals and mechanisms for implementing the initiative\u2019s projects and what is being accomplished.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dr. Hamada Ragab, the initiative’s general coordinator at the university, thanked and appreciated Ms. Aya Omar, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the Decent Life Foundation, at the republic level, for her sincere efforts to provide a decent and safe life for Egyptian citizens at all levels across the republic. He stated that the Decent Life Initiative began with an idea based on Egyptian youth’s dreams to prepare a comprehensive development plan to create a sustainable decent life for the most needy groups by developing a field study plan, monitoring the needs of the most needy families and villages, and identifying the natural resources and investment opportunities available to use them optimally.<\/span><\/p>\n

A number of students and faculty members, coordinators of the Decent Life initiative at the university, were eager to engage in dialogue, discussion, and raise questions and innovative ideas in entrepreneurship and how to create a creative space for small and medium-sized enterprise ideas in the most needy areas targeted by the initiative within the scope of the Aswan Governorate, stressing their full appreciation to Aswan University for providing the opportunity to learn about the value of what is being achieved in the initiative through the Decent Life Foundation in Aswan.<\/span><\/p>\n
