Prof. Loai Saad El-Deen Nasrat, Acting President of Aswan University, attended the regular meeting of the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Center, which was held in attendance of several university leaders, Dr. Eman Wagdy, Director of the Center, Dr. Khairy Ahmed, Dean of Faculty of Education, along with representatives from the quality assurance and accreditation units of various faculties.<\/span><\/p>\n

During the meeting, Dr. Nasrat discussed ways to enhance academic and administrative performance across faculties, as well as mechanisms to promote and strengthen a culture of quality among Academic staff, employees, and students. The meeting also addressed key challenges facing the faculties and proposed urgent solutions. Successful models of program accreditation were reviewed, and a future plan was presented to prepare the remaining faculties for academic accreditation in line with the standards of the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education.<\/span><\/p>\n

In his opening speech, Prof. Loai Saad El-Deen Nasrat emphasized the importance of adhering to quality standards, stating:<\/span>
\n“Quality is no longer an option; it is an urgent necessity. It is the only gateway for our university to ascend to the ranks of global universities. We aspire for Aswan University to become a scientific beacon with regional and international influence, and this will only be achieved through a genuine commitment to a culture of quality and its application across all aspects of university work.”<\/span><\/p>\n

For her part, Dr. Eman Wagdy, Director of the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Center, affirmed that the center is currently updating training plans and enhancing the capacity of quality teams in the faculties. She pointed out that the real challenge lies not only in obtaining accreditation but in maintaining it through continuous development and regular performance reviews.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dr. Khairy Ahmed, Dean of Faculty of Education, added,<\/span>
\n“What we are witnessing today in terms of discussion and cooperation among faculties reflects a growing awareness of the importance of quality in achieving the university\u2019s strategic goals\u2014especially in the context of global competition for academic excellence.”<\/span><\/p>\n

The meeting concluded with several recommendations, the most notable of which were the need to accelerate the preparation of accreditation files for the remaining faculties, intensify awareness and training programs, and activate the role of quality units within faculties by linking them to the university\u2019s strategic plans to achieve institutional integration.<\/span><\/p>\n
