As part of the state\u2019s efforts to build a secure digital society and protect young people against cyber threats, the second week of the Cyber Youth Training Camp kicked off at the Digital Egypt Center in Sahari, Aswan University, from July 20 to 24, 2025, under the slogan \u201cSuperheroes Academy to Protect the Digital Generation.\u201d The event is held under the auspices of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and in cooperation with the National Telecommunications Institute (NTI)<\/strong>, the National Telecom Regulatory Authority (NTRA)<\/strong>, and the Egyptian Computer Emergency Response Team (EG-CERT)<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The camp was attended by Prof. Loai Saad El-Deen Nasrat<\/strong>, Acting President of Aswan University, who expressed his pride that the university hosting this unique event for the second year in a row. He emphasized that investing in young minds is the most valuable kind of investment, and that the initiative represents a strategic step towards preparing a generation capable of facing the challenges of the ever-evolving digital space.<\/span><\/p>\n

In his speech, Prof. Nasrat<\/strong> explained that the camp aligns with the vision of the New Republic, which places youth at the forefront of its priorities by equipping them with digital-era skills and raising their awareness of cyber space risks. He pointed out that the training program includes practical lectures and interactive workshops focusing on personal data protection, combating misinformation, and addressing cyberattacks.<\/span><\/p>\n

The camp featured outstanding participation from a number of prominent experts and engineers, including Eng. Mahdi Gaberil Mahdi, Eng. Hesham Ahmed Hussein, and Eng. Kyrillos Makram Soliman, who delivered advanced training sessions on cybersecurity concepts and best practices for digital privacy protection.<\/span><\/p>\n

Students showed great engagement with the activities, which were described as a unique learning experience aimed at graduating digital heroes equipped with the awareness and skills to protect themselves and their communities in the virtual world. At the conclusion of the events, participants took commemorative photos with Prof. Loai Nasrat<\/strong> and the trainers in an atmosphere filled with enthusiasm and a sense of belonging to a safer digital future.<\/span><\/p>\n
