In a significant step toward promoting digital transformation and providing advanced electronic services, Aswan University signed a cooperation protocol with the National Bank of Egypt to renew the issuance of prepaid cards for the university’s 25,000 students, spread across 18 colleges and two institutes.<\/span><\/p>\n

This is took place during a reception hosted by Dr. Loay Saad El-Din Nasrat,<\/span> Acting President of Aswan University, for a delegation from the National Bank. The protocol was signed by Dr. Loay Saad El-Din Nasrat,<\/span> Dr. Mohamed Eid,<\/span> Director of the Information and Networks Center, Dr. Adel Fathy,<\/span> Director of the Administrative Information Systems Unit, and Mr. Khaled Asran,<\/span> University Secretary General, as well as officials from the National Bank of Aswan.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dr. Loay Saad El-Din Nasrat,<\/span> President of the University, stated that the prepaid card, which will be provided free of charge to students for the first five years, will serve as a comprehensive digital substitute to traditional university ID cards. He went on to say that the card gives students access to the university’s electronic portals and makes it easier to pay tuition, university dormitories, and other financial services, saving students and their families time and money. H.E. stated that this collaboration is part of a larger effort to rationalize the costs of producing student ID cards, especially considering the vast number of students who now use them, which is over 17,000.<\/span><\/p>\n

This effort demonstrates Aswan University’s dedication to promoting digital transformation and improving technology infrastructure in order to better serve its students and create a modern and advanced educational environment.<\/span><\/p>\n
