Within the framework of fruitful cooperation between Aswan University, the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, and the Egyptian Knowledge Bank<\/span><\/p>\n

the University is organizing a workshop entitled \u201cEU Funding and its Support for Scientific Research and Innovation\u201d, to be held on Monday, November 10, 2025.<\/span><\/p>\n

Venue<\/strong>: Seminar Hall \u2013 Faculty of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Aswan University<\/span><\/p>\n

Time<\/strong>: 10:00 a.m. \u2013 12:00 p.m.<\/span><\/p>\n

Target Audience<\/strong>: Academic staff, researchers, and postgraduate students interested in applying for EU grants<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The workshop aims to support and build the capacities of researchers and Academic staff at the university, enabling them to effectively engage with European funding programs\u2014particularly Horizon Europe<\/strong>, one of the European Union\u2019s flagship programs for supporting research and innovation.<\/span><\/p>\n

The workshop will be delivered by Dr. Ikram (Salma) El-Saawy, Deputy Director of the Research and Innovation Management Department at the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology.<\/span><\/p>\n

She is an international expert in European project management and funding strategies, with more than 14 years of experience in the field.<\/span><\/p>\n

The workshop will cover several topics, including:<\/span><\/p>\n

Introduction to the Horizon Europe<\/strong> program and its importance for Egyptian researchers.<\/span><\/p>\n

Overview of the EU funding structure, its main pillars, and research areas.<\/span><\/p>\n

How to effectively use the Funding & Tenders Portal<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

How to identify suitable research opportunities for Aswan University researchers.<\/span><\/p>\n

This event reflects Aswan University\u2019s commitment to strengthening its researchers\u2019 capacities in international competitiveness on scientific research and innovation.<\/span><\/p>\n
