Aswan University President Participates in \u00abSTART 2026\u00bb<\/strong> Summit and Receives Recognition for the University’s Role in Supporting and Empowering Students<\/span><\/p>\n

As part of Egypt\u2019s national direction toward investing in human capital and achieving the goals of Egypt Vision 2030.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Prof. Loai Saad El-Deen Nasrat<\/strong>, Aswan University President, participated in the activities of the START 2026 Summit<\/strong>, hosted at the Grand Egyptian Museum. The event was attended by Prof. Abdelaziz Konsowa, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research; Dr. Maya Morsy, Minister of Social Solidarity; Dr. Ahmed Ghoneim, Chief Executive Officer of the Grand Egyptian Museum Authority; as well as presidents of Egyptian universities, leaders of higher education and development institutions, and representatives of major companies and economic organizations.<\/span><\/p>\n

During the summit, Prof. Loai Saad El-Deen Nasrat<\/strong>, President of Aswan University, was honored in recognition of the university\u2019s pioneering role in supporting the activities of Social Solidarity Units and providing various forms of social and developmental care for students. The recognition also highlighted the university\u2019s efforts in strengthening training and professional qualification programs that help prepare highly qualified young professionals capable of competing in the labor market, in line with sustainable development objectives.<\/span><\/p>\n

The summit marked the culmination of the achievements of the Social Solidarity Units Project within Egyptian universities. The current phase of the project aims to provide more than 5,000 training opportunities for students, particularly beneficiaries of the \u201cTakaful and Karama\u201d program, students with disabilities, and other recipients of Social Solidarity Unit services, thereby enhancing opportunities for the economic and social empowerment of youth.<\/span><\/p>\n

As part of its commitment to supporting students and preparing them for the labor market, Aswan University participated with a student delegation comprising more than 100 male and female students. This participation enabled them to benefit from training and qualification programs, engage directly with employment and training institutions, and gain insights into modern skills and future job requirements.<\/span><\/p>\n

Prof. Loai Saad El-Deen Nasrat<\/strong> expressed his pride in receiving this recognition, emphasizing that it reflects appreciation for the efforts made by the university and its staff in serving students, supporting their welfare, and developing their academic and professional capabilities. He noted that investing in young people is the true investment in the nation\u2019s future.<\/span><\/p>\n

The President of Aswan University affirmed that the university\u2019s strategy is centered on supporting and empowering students academically and professionally through the provision of an integrated educational and training environment that aligns with labor market demands and contributes to preparing graduates who are capable of competition, innovation, and entrepreneurship.<\/span><\/p>\n

He added that the participation of more than 100 students in the \u00abSTART 2026\u00bb<\/strong>\u00a0Summit stems from the university\u2019s commitment to enhancing their practical experience and providing opportunities for direct interaction with training and employment institutions, thereby helping to build their professional identities and prepare them for future challenges.<\/span><\/p>\n

The President also pointed out that Aswan University continues to implement its strategic vision through building effective partnerships with government institutions, the private sector, and civil society organizations, supporting sustainable development efforts and creating additional training and qualification opportunities for students.<\/span><\/p>\n

He further noted that Aswan University possesses distinguished academic and research capabilities, comprising 19<\/strong> faculties in addition to the Institute of African and Nile State Research and Studies which is considered one of the leading specialized academic institutions dedicated to studying developmental and strategic issues related to the African continent. This strengthens the university\u2019s regional and international role in education, scientific research, and community service.<\/span><\/p>\n
