As part of Aswan University\u2019s strategy to develop academic cadres equipped with leadership and intellectual skills capable of keeping pace with the rapidly changing higher education landscape, the university participated in the activities of the \u201cLeaders Makers \u2013 Leadership and Effective Communication Skills\u201d<\/strong> program. The program was organized by the Leaders Development Institute<\/strong> for assistant Academic staff at Egyptian universities, under the patronage of Prof. Abdelaziz Konsowa<\/strong>, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Acting Minister of Culture, and under the supervision of Prof. Karim Hammam<\/strong>, the Minister\u2019s Advisor for Student Activities and Director of the Leaders Development Institute. The participation was also held under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Abdelaziz Mehallal Orabi<\/strong>, Acting President of Aswan University.<\/span><\/p>\n

The university delegation was headed by Dr. Abdelmonem El-Gilany<\/strong>, Dean of the Institute of African and Nile Basin States Research and Studies. The delegation included Dr. Amr Abdelhalim Ibrahim<\/strong>, Lecturer at the Institute; Eng. Islam Mostafa<\/strong>, Assistant Lecturer at the Institute; Dr. Alaa Mahmoud Abdelhafiz<\/strong>, Assistant Lecturer at the Faculty of Specific Education; and Dr. Ester Ragheb Fouad<\/strong>, Assistant Lecturer at the Faculty of Fisheries and Fish Technology. Their participation reflected Aswan University\u2019s commitment to providing assistant Academic staff with the best possible training opportunities and preparing them to assume leadership roles in the future.<\/span><\/p>\n

The program featured a comprehensive series of academic lectures and practical workshops addressing modern leadership skills, decision-making, effective communication, and team management, in addition to topics related to national security, fourth- and fifth-generation warfare, cybersecurity, and the responsible use of artificial intelligence applications in education and scientific research. The program also included specialized workshops on building a positive personality, public speaking, persuasion, and professional presentation skills, contributing to enhancing participants\u2019 capabilities and qualifying them to undertake leadership roles within their academic institutions.<\/span><\/p>\n

The program also featured a number of cultural and interactive activities aimed at fostering the values of national belonging and strengthening communication among young people from Egyptian universities. These activities included a cultural tour of the Al-Azhar and Al-Hussein areas and Al-Muizz Street, as well as group activities that contributed to developing teamwork and facilitating the exchange of experiences among participants.<\/span><\/p>\n

Prof. Mohamed Abdelaziz Mehallal Orabi<\/strong>, President of Aswan University, emphasized that the university places human resource development at the top of its priorities, based on its belief that investing in people is the true foundation for developing university institutions and achieving institutional excellence.<\/span><\/p>\n

The university president stated that participation in the \u201cLeaders Makers\u201d<\/strong> program reflects the university\u2019s vision of preparing a new generation of assistant Academic staff equipped with leadership, creativity, and communication skills and capable of addressing contemporary challenges and harnessing modern technologies to advance education and scientific research, in line with the directions of the Egyptian state and the objectives of Egypt Vision 2030<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

He added that Aswan University is continuously committed to expanding the participation of young researchers and assistant Academic staff in training programs organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and the Leaders Development Institute, based on its belief that investing in human competencies is the most sustainable form of investment and the pathway to developing academic leaders with scientific competence and a forward-looking vision.<\/span><\/p>\n

For his part, Dr. Abdelmonem El-Gilany<\/strong>, Dean of the Institute of African and Nile Basin States Research and Studies, who also participated as a trainer in the \u201cPublic Speaker Skills\u201d<\/strong> workshop, emphasized that the program represented an advanced model of training that combines academic knowledge with practical application and provides participants with practical tools for developing leadership, communication, persuasion, and strategic thinking skills.<\/span><\/p>\n

He noted that the specialized lectures, workshops, and interactive activities included in the program reflect the Ministry of Higher Education and the Leaders Development Institute\u2019s commitment to developing academic cadres with national awareness, innovation capabilities, and institutional leadership skills. Such efforts contribute to enhancing the competitiveness of Egyptian universities, improving the quality of higher education, and achieving sustainable development goals.<\/span><\/p>\n
