Today, Thursday, Minister of Manpower, Mohamed Saafan<\/span><\/strong>, continued his field trips to the governorates, within the framework of the \u201cDignified Life\u201d (Haya Kareema)\u00a0 and \u201cEgypt Fishermen\u201d (Sayaadi Misr) initiatives launched by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi<\/span><\/strong>, to provide job opportunities for youth, suitable for the challenges with disabilities, for the neediest community groups, and female heads. In addition to taking care of the health and social irregular employment, and small fishermen, and reassures the workers at work and production sites, to find out the obstacles and problems they face and to study ways to overcome and solve them, and to study many of their proposals that would improve the work environment and conditions of workers and union work, as well as to publish a culture of self-employment and occupational safety and health among youth, in order to reduce risks to the safety of individuals, and work to provide a safe life.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Minister of Manpower began his field trip, which includes the governorates of Aswan, Luxor, and Qena, with signing protocols of joint cooperation between the Ministry and the University headed by Dr. Ahmed Ghalab, President of Aswan University, in the areas of community development, training and spreading the culture of self-employment and occupational safety and health among youth, in order to reduce the risks that threaten the safety of individuals and work to provide a safe living environment; within the framework of the efforts made by the state through the Ministry of Manpower in the fields of safety, developing and supporting a culture of self-employment among young students and university graduates, learning about modern ideas of entrepreneurship, and the importance of vocational training and transformational training in supporting the national economy and reducing unemployment.<\/span><\/p>\n

The signing was attended by Major General Ashraf Attia<\/span><\/strong>, Governor of Aswan, Dr. Mohamed Mahgoub Azzouz<\/span><\/strong>, President of Luxor University, Mohamed Abdel Wahab<\/strong><\/span>, Director of the Manpower Directorate in the governorate, and a number of faculties deans.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Minister of Manpower said that the aim of signing the two cooperation protocols with Aswan University comes within the framework of the efforts made by the state through the Ministry of Manpower in the field of developing and supporting a culture of self-employment among young students and university graduates, and the importance of spreading a culture of occupational safety and health at the national level to limit of the risks that threaten the safety of individuals, and work to provide a safe environment, by including the topics of occupational safety and health in the research and graduation projects of students in the various faculties of the university, and holding the necessary seminars, conferences, workshops and student competitions, and other means to achieve these goals, stressing that The university represents a beacon of knowledge and a source of radiation and enlightenment to raise awareness among students and youth in the field of occupational safety and health, entrepreneurship and self-employment.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Minister of Manpower indicated that the two protocols aim to hold seminars, workshops, and training programs in the halls and training centers of both sides free of charge. Graduates and people with disabilities, as well as holding conferences, seminars, and workshops in the field of occupational safety and health, participating in the preparation of competitions and evaluating the works participating in those competitions, and granting certificates for trainees to pass training hours in courses and workshops.<\/span><\/p>\n

For his part, Dr. Ghallab<\/span><\/strong>, President of Aswan University, said that the university will provide services, mobilize and assemble the target, and form a fieldwork team of university students to raise awareness for students and graduates of the ministry\u2019s services and facilitate access to the services provided, as well as encourage them to raise their professional skills and join vocational training programs and job opportunities. Inclusion of occupational safety and health topics in the research and graduation projects of students in the various faculties of the university.<\/span><\/p>\n

Organizing various events such as seminars, conferences, workshops, and competitions, as well as encouraging students and graduates to research in the field of occupational safety and health and to adhere to safe behavior and occupational safety and health procedures.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dr. Ghallab<\/strong><\/span> stressed that universities pay great attention to spreading awareness among their students who have the duty to advance and develop society, pointing out that there is coordination between the Ministry of Manpower and the university to provide supportive ways to spread a culture of occupational safety and health, secure the work environment, motivate students, exploit their energies and benefit from their abilities.
