In frame of the Ministry of Social Solidarity’s Concern to achieve Egypt’s vision for sustainable development 2030, especially the axes of social justice, development and human building.
under patronage of Ms. Nevin Al-Kabbaj – Minister of Social Solidarity, and Prof. Ayman Othman – Aswan University President, and under supervision of Prof. Salah Hashem_ Adviser of the Ministry of Solidarity for social policies and General Coordinator of Social Solidarity Units in Egyptian Universities.
Social Solidarity Unit at Aswan University integrated between two axes of the unit axes: volunteering and supporting knowledge and experiences through a field visit to the (Comprehensive Social Rehabilitation Center in Aswan) to build knowledge and experiences for young volunteers in the unit and learn about the center’s services and courses available to them and that on Thursday, 1/9/ 2022.
And the axis of social protection and economic empowerment by integrating students with disabilities with their colleagues and empowering them economically through the center’s available courses and allocated to them, crafts, training and treatment units.
The visit began by welcoming the young volunteers through Ms. Intisar Fathi – Director of the Center.
Professor. Noha Al-Safi – Psychologist at the center_ defining the center and inspecting the departments in the center represented in (training department – audiology department – workshops department – physiotherapy department – nursery).
Whereas the center benefits all members of society through the physiotherapy department and the gymnasium is being preparing.
Whereas the workshops accept students of intellectual schools from the age of 12 to 20 to raise their abilities and teach them the skill of carpentry.
The Audiology Department works to provide audiometers at low prices for people with disabilities.
The nursery accepts from the age of 2 to 9 with specific intelligence level that is lower than the normal level of intelligence to work on raising the level.
