Services provided by the Ministry to the University:
The Social Solidarity Unit at Aswan University works on three axes:
First: Social Protection and Economic Empowerment Axis by providing:
-Protection and social development services.
-Rehabilitation and integration services for persons with disabilities.
-Economic empowerment and financial inclusion services.
-Payment of fees for students who are unable.
-Providing equal opportunities in education for students with disabilities by providing prosthetic devices and assistive devices for them in education.
– Providing integrated service cards for persons with disabilities.
Second: Awareness and personality building axis through:
– Holding seminars and panel discussions.
-Distribution of brochures and awareness-raising leaflets.
-Awareness campaigns and training courses.
Third: Supporting knowledge and expertise by implementing the following:
-Inspection visits to the Ministry of Social Solidarity and conducting dialogue with workers.
-Field visits to development projects under auspices of the Ministry.
-Part-time volunteering for projects or groups served by the Ministry of Social Solidarity.
