Millions of people are already suffering from the catastrophic effects of extreme weather disasters exacerbated by climate change – from long droughts to devastating tropical cyclones… and many more.
The devastation that climate change is causing, and will continue to cause, is a grave warning to humanity. The world’s leading scientific body for assessing climate change warns that greenhouse gas emissions should “peak before 2025 at the latest and fall by 43 percent by 2030.
Accordingly, the university took serious steps towards reducing greenhouse gas emissions, as the university adopted a climate change action plan V 2.0 Feb 2023.
Furthermore, a commitment for reducing Carbon dioxide emissions has been also announced.
