Aswan University achieves the goal of eradicating poverty by supporting and accepting students who fall into the bottom 20% of household income group in Egypt for admission to the university without obstacles.
Where the university works to accept all categories of students, workers and faculty members without any discrimination Aswan University is a governmental institution that is subject to the Egyptian laws, especially the Egyptian Constitution regulating the laws. As we believe that all people are equal in rights, freedom and general duties, we affirm our commitment to the provisions of the law to ensure a smooth, fair and distinguished national educational process.
Aswan University has an Information Management System (MIS). The unit aims to build an advanced information system to improve the efficiency of the work environment in order to save time and effort in an approved and documented electronic method that can be referred to at any time and to support decision-making.
One of the characteristics of the unit is also the work of measuring and tracking the numbers of accepted students until graduation
If we look at the percentage of the number of first-year students for the year 2017 and compare it with the percentage of graduates for the year 2023, we find that the percentage is very close, and this is evidence that the university supports the admission of students who fall in the lowest 20% of the family income bracket in Egypt without hindrance.
Aswan University also works to support all underrepresented groups by developing an “Access-And-Participation-Plan 2022-2023″ to address any gap within any group that may be underrepresented, and plans to reduce these gaps.
