2nd Youth Forum “Present Challenges & Future Visions”

The ministry of finance, represented in the accounts sector and financial directorates, in cooperation with Aswan governorate and Aswan university, held the second forum for youth of accounts sector and financial directorates under the title “Challenges of the Present and Future Visions”. the forum was held under the patronage of Dr. Mohamed Maeit, minister of finance, and Maj. Gen. Ashraf Attia, Aswan governor,  Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Othman, Aswan university president, under the supervision of accountant Mr. Tarek Bassiouni, head of accounts and financial directorate sector.

  During his speech, Maj. Gen. Ashraf Atteya stressed on the importance of rationalizing government expenditure and the digital transformation while preserving state assets with providing an investment environment suitable for supporting the Egyptian economy. He pointed out on the great development witnessed by the ministry of finance under the leadership of Dr. Mohamed Maeit to build the new republic under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic.

   Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Othman stressed also on the importance of cooperation between the ministry of finance, Aswan university and Aswan governorate in discussing the challenges of the present and future visions according to the development witnessed by the sectors of Aswan university, which represent the house of expertise in various fields, in order to upgrade the administrative and financial systems upon electronic basis to serve university employees and cooperate with all state institutions to curb the spread of corruption.

   For his part, Dr. Hazem El-Gamal, faculty of Alsun’s dean  and chairman of  anti-corruption committee, explained that there is fruitful cooperation between the university and the relevant authorities to dry up the sources of corruption and uproot it from its roots through several axes as rationalizing government spending, spreading the principles of transparency, integrity, control and educating university employees to combat corruption with all its forms.

    The accountant Mr. Tarek Bassiouni, first undersecretary of the ministry of finance and chairman of accounts and directorates sector, pointed out at the significance of holding such a forum, which handles challenges of the present and future visions, especially among youth of the sector with its various directorates, and automating financial and administrative sector through training to control governmental spending in all state institutions.

   Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim, financial controller of the ministry of defense, chairman of mechanization unit and official spokesperson for the ministry of finance, stated that the ministry adopted youth’s proposals on digital transformation and introduced to them the systems of mechanizing government units that the ministry of finance had recently begun to develop.

  Dr. Haitham Shams El-Deen, director general of budget and executive director of internal training unit in the ministry, agreed that the forum was held in its second session to achieve effective and positive communication between the youth of accounts sector and financial directorates to exchange technical, financial and administrative experiences in order to reduce the gap between them and the ministry leaders and to explain the policies.

  Dr. Nashwa Sharaf El-Din, director general of the ministry and head of evaluation team of the forum, stated that she is evaluating the proposals submitted by the participants in all forums in accordance with the strategic plan of the sector.

   Abul-Fadl Al-Sheikh, undersecretary of Aswan branch directorate, thanked and appreciated the ministry leaders and the prestigious attendees of the forum for holding it in the capital of culture, economy, and Arab and African youth.

  On the other hand,  Mr. Ahmed Abdel Razzaq, the forum’s rapporteur, said that all participants are delighted with the ministry of finance’s support to discuss their proposals in light of the directions of the political leadership that the new republic is witnessing.
