Aswan University participates in the meeting of the Executive Committee of the National Initiative for Smart Green governorates

Under patronage of Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Othman_Aswan University President, Prof. Mohamed Abdel-Aziz Mehallal Orabi_ Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs represented for the university in the meeting of the Executive Committee of the National Initiative for Smart Green Governorates, that its activities are held under the auspices of President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi_ Republic President _ to preserve the environment, to improve the quality of life, take into account the rights of future generations, and working on implementing the National Climate Change Strategy 2050.

Prof. Mohamed Abdel-Aziz Mehallal emphasized the university’s participation by inviting its researchers and colleagues from Academic staff and their assistants to presenting the research and applied projects that are compatible with the terms of the initiative. The meeting was attended by some executive leaders and representatives of the Ministry of Communications, Civil Society and Women, and the meeting witnessed the presentation of many proposals, ideas and visions, headed by Major General / Ashraf Attia – Aswan Governor _ who stressed the need for the competent committee with all parties to work in the spirit of one team to determine all Ideas to choose the best of them so that they participate in the 6 areas in the name of the governorate, which aims to achieve the public good to appear in an honorable and classy appearance since last 21st August and will continue until 7th September.

The Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research explained that the meeting comes within the framework of Egypt’s Hostability and presidency of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP 27), and efforts to achieve sustainable development within the context of implementing Egypt’s Vision 2030.
