Prof. Ayman Othman_ Acting President of Aswan University, confirmed that the second book fair organized by the Ministry of Culture in cooperation with Aswan University, from 3 to 12 November 2021,have a great importance in communicating a number of correct concepts among young people and protecting them from Intellectual invasion.
His Excellency said that Aswan University has participated in this exhibition, emphasizing the importance of culture for all young people, commenting: “We suffer from the fact that young people have become marginalized and captive to social networking sites, which take a lot of their time without real positive benefit.”
His excellency also indicated that Aswan University is interested in reviving culture among young people, by making sure to hold such exhibitions, which include thousands of exhibits from various books and in all fields, novels, English books, drama, poetry, history, politics, etc., and offered at very reduced prices.
Aswan University President called on young men and women to visit the Second Aswan Book Fair, to help them fight the ideological invasion that is trying to influence our heritage and culture, “as he described it.”
On the other hand, the activities of the second book fair organized by the Ministry of Culture, represented by the Aswan Culture Branch in cooperation with the General Book Authority and Aswan University, The exhibition includes about 8,000 books in various fields and various specializations, which are offered at reduced prices for citizens in Aswan Governorate, which start with only one pound, as the exhibition is witnessing a great demand from the public to buy books from the display platforms.
On the sidelines of the book fair, a number of cultural events will be held at Fawzy Fawzy Theater, including “poetry events, presenting artistic performances by some groups, religious chanting, cultural symposiums and a children’s choir.”
Egyptian publishing houses will participate in Aswan Book Fair, with titles of books of various types of knowledge and culture, children’s books and other references that university students need in their studies at great discounts.
the Second Book Fair event in Aswan Governorate were launched from 4 to 12 November 2021 at Fawzy Fawzy “summer theater ” under the auspices of Dr. / Enas Abdel-Dayem – Minister of Culture – and Major General / Ashraf Attia – Governor of Aswan.
The art exhibition was organized by the students of Faculty of Specific Education at Aswan University, on the sidelines of the activities of the second Book Fair, and despite the young age of the students and the first experiences of some of them, they were able to innovate in expressing their arts that they distinguished in from the beginning, and some have a hobby since Childhood and others burdened it with education, until they present to the audience colors of art, they are students of Faculty of Specific Education at Aswan University. Each of them expressed his talent and hobbies in drawing, plastic art and handicrafts that they carries out and participates in in various art exhibitions.
