Under the patronage of Aswan university president Prof. Ahmed Ghallab , the first round of the university students’ union elections started today with a considerable number of students participating in the process. This round includes electing the committee members at the level of the faculties’ batches.
The vice president of education and student’s affairs and the head of the supreme committee that takes over the supervision on the electoral process Prof. Hanan Abd Al Moneam Awad declared that the total number of candidates is 653 students, 2 members from each committee of the 7 committees in each batch will be elected. She added that the electoral process is conducted today in seven faculties ( science, agriculture, Alsun, education, commerce, law and medicine) while the election in the rest 12 faculties in addition to the nursing technical institute will be conducted through recommendation or appointment. The process started at 9 am. and it will continue till 3 pm.
