Yesterday corresponding to 15th Jan. 2019 Aswan governorate celebrated Aswan National Day to commemorate the inauguration of the High Dam 15th January 1971. The celebration started with lighting the flame in front the Symbol of Friendship by Aswan Governor Ahmed Ibrahim accompanied by 3 former governors, the president of Arab Academy for Science Technology and Maritime Transport Dr. Ismail Abd Al Ghaffar, as well as the head of High Dam Builders Association Eng. Sabry Ashmawy.
In this context, Aswan university president Prof. Ahmed Ghallab declared that celebrating Aswan National Day is a representation of the people’s dignity and free will. He congratulated Aswan People on this great event wishing more achievements under the leadership of President Abd Al Fattah Al Sisi.
