Launching Sustainable Development Ambassadors initiative entitled “Be an Ambassador”

         In frame of joint cooperation between Aswan University and the Ministry of Planning and Sustainable Development, and through the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development, the “Ambassadors for Sustainable Development” initiative was launched, which aims to build national capacities in the field of sustainable development and clarify the consistency between Egypt’s Vision 2030 and the UN Sustainable Development Goals. It includes the updated version of the vision of governing principles, indicators, strategic goals and enablers that help to reach the specified goals, and it also aims to work through a series of training sessions.

The initiative consists of three phases:

1- The introductory level: in which the study is conducted through the “Estedama” electronic training platform, and includes introducing some skills and principles for sustainable development.

2- the second level: It is represented in the specialized level, which starts immediately after the completion of the exam for the introductory level and includes 11 recorded lectures that are made available on the electronic platform of the institute, as well as holding a series of remote discussions presented by specialists in sustainable development.

3- The third level: It is represented at the professional level and includes qualifying the trainees through the “TOT“_ “Training of Trainees”_ program to become ambassadors of sustainable development in the field of work and spreading the concepts and applications of sustainable development in their societies.
