Students of the Faculty of Specific Education, Aswan University, visited the patients of Aswan Oncology Institute under the patronage of Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Othman – President of the University, and under the supervision of Dr. Loay Saad El Din Nusrat – Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and Dr. Mohamed Abdel Hamid Rashed – Dean of the Faculty with the participation of Dr. Rajaa Ali Abdel Aleem – Vice Dean for Environmental Affairs and Community Service.
According to Dr. Mohamed Rashed, this visit is part of the environment and community service sector’s programs and activities. Many faculty students also attended the visit to Aswan Oncology Center, with the goal of introducing students to the services offered by the center as one of the specialized therapeutic and medical institutions.
The delegation from the Faculty of Specific Education was welcomed by Dr. Mohamed Shawky Al-Mawafy, Director of Aswan Oncology Center, who gave an overview of the center’s major departments and the services it provides to patients.
Dr. Rajaa Ali Abdel-Aleem went on to say that this visit is part of the Environmental Affairs Sector’s efforts to educate students about the role of medical institutions in serving the community, as well as to promote the principle of social solidarity and eagerness to visit patients during the blessed month of Ramadan, which instills in students the spirit of sympathy, compassion, and communication, considering that society is one epic according to the instructions of the tolerant monotheistic religions. At the conclusion of their visit, the faculty’s students gave in-kind gifts to several patients and wished them a speedy recovery.
