Today, the activities of the first annual scientific forum of the Community Service Department, which is entitled “Professional Practice of Community Service Method in the Era of Digitizing Social Welfare Services,” were launched under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Ayman Mahmoud Othman – President of Aswan University.
This was in attendance of Prof. Loai Saad El-Deen Nasrat – Vice President for Education and Student Affairs and Faculty Supervisor – and Prof. Mohamed Abdel-Aziz Orabi – Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research – and Prof. Ali Abbas Dandrawi – Professor of Social Work and Previous Vice President for Community Service and Environment Development – Dr. Emad Tharwat Sharkawy – Dean of the Intermediate Institute for Social Work in Aswan – Dr. Hanaa Aref – Professor of Community Service and Head of the Community Service Department “Reporter of the Forum” – Dr. Mohamed Sayed Abbas – Professor of Community Service and Vice Dean of Faculty for Education and students Affairs, “Secretary of the Forum” – and Dr. Hamdi El-Sayed Assi – Assistant Professor_ Department of Community Service – and Dr. Ayman Ahmed Essam – Lecturer, Department of Community Service – and a group of Academic staff in the Faculty.
Dr. Loai Saad El-Deen Nasrat declared that during the forum, the achievements of the department during the period from 2021 to 2023 were presented, then the former deans of the faculty were honored, Dr. Abdel-Rahim Tammam Abo Karisha, Prof. Ali Abbas Dandrawi, and Dr. Mohamed Najdi, then the scientific sessions ceremonies began For the department through two sessions; The first session focused on “Professional Practice for Community Service in the Light of Contemporary Informatics Digitization”, through which scientific papers were presented and were as follows: “Informational Mechanism Between Necessity and Promotion to Improve the Quality of Life for the Elderly”, which was presented by Dr. Emad Tharwat Sharkawy, then “Modern Technology with Hearing Impaired Groups” presented by Dr. Hanaa Aref, as well as “Digitization of Social Work with Poor Families Groups” presented by Dr. Mohamed Sayed Abbas.
On the other hand, the forum included a lecture on “Requirements for Professional Practice of the Method of Working with Groups in the Context of Contemporary Informatics Digitization,” which was presented by Dr. Hamdy El-Sayed Assi. The work of the first session was concluded with a lecture entitled “Challenges of professional practice of the method of working with groups in residential institutions in the era of “digitization”, which was presented by Dr. / Ayman Ahmed Essam and Dr. / Adel Khalaf Hassan.
For his part, Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Aziz Orabi added that the second session dealt with many axes, including the axis of “artificial intelligence and digitization of social care services from the perspective of community service”, through which scientific papers were presented and were as follows:
– “Artificial Intelligence as a mechanism for improving social care services for groups of people of determination” presented by Dr. Azza El-Sayed, “The role of digitization in improving the professional practice of community service in social care institutions” presented by Dr. El-Shazly Abu Al-Hajjaj and researcher Mostafa Mohamed Abdel-Fattah _ second batch of preliminary doctorate, and the researcher. Ahmed Sultan Abdel-Zaher, in the second year, a preliminary doctorate, “The Role of Smart Cities in improving the Quality of Life of University Youth from the Perspective of the Method of Working with Groups”, which was presented by Dr. Aya Adly and Dr. Warda Al-Sanossi.
– “Artificial Intelligence in Improving Social Care Services for Elderly Groups”, which was presented by the student. Iman Sabry Ahmed, and the student. Omaima Farag Mohamed in the fourth year.
Dr. Mohamed Sayed Abbas explained that at the end of the forum, the organizing committee was honored, and then presented the recommendations of the forum that contribute to the work on applying scientific research. This forum is the first organized by the department, and one of the most important recommendations of the forum is to hold the forum next year.
