Introduction
The executive summary presents the main elements of the strategic plan for Aswan University, whereas the documents of the strategic plan consist of eleven elements, from the First to Fifth elements to cover the challenges that the university faced and that led to the inevitability of the strategic plan and the basic assumptions on which the plan, the methodology and the scientific method were built, that was used in its development, with Presentation of the most important features and basic information about Aswan University.
The sixth element involves defining the main elements of the plan whereas the formulation of the Final vision of the university has been prepared during the next five years (until 2020) after that it has been reviewed and then approved to continue its terms for 2022/ 2023 by the University Council is as follows:
“Leadership and creativity in the field of education, formation and dissemination of knowledge and its application, and promotion of sustainable development opportunities locally and regionally to ensure a better life for individuals, society and the surrounding environment.”
As for the university’s mission, it reflects the basic reason for which the university was found. The Mission from this standpoint reflects the groups of activities, programs and services that the university seeks to provide and the means by which the university’s mission can be achieved:
Providing educational, research and advisory services that meet the needs of society by providing a distinct educational climate capable of -Preparing qualified graduates in accordance with local quality standards and researchers with creative capabilities who actively participate in promoting sustainable development opportunities and establishing the knowledge society”.
Vision:
Aswan University seeks to Leadership and creativity in the field of education, formation and dissemination of knowledge and its application, and promotion of sustainable development opportunities locally and regionally to ensure a better life for individuals, society and the Surrounding environment.
Mission:
Providing educational, research and consulting services that meet the needs of society by providing a distinguished educational climate capable of preparing qualified graduates in accordance with local quality standards and researchers with creative abilities who participate effectively in enhancing sustainable development opportunities and establishing a knowledge society.
