Secretary General of the University Administrations

“The position of the Secretary-General of the University is located at the top of the university’s financial and administrative apparatus, as it specializes in supervising the financial, administrative and engineering affairs sectors of the University, and the incumbent works under the general administrative guidance of the competent president and directs the employees in general

  Functions of the Secretary General of the University:

-General supervision of the implementation of laws and republican and ministerial decisions that regulate the affairs of Academic staff and university employees.

-The University Secretary is considered a financial controller of the University and is responsible for setting plans, systems and instructions that ensure the implementation of the decisions and policies adopted by the Supreme Council of Universities and the University Council in the areas of financial and administrative affairs.

-Performing the work related to the secretariat of the University Council and follows up on the implementation of the decisions issued by the Council.

-The University Secretary presides over the Disciplinary Council for employees without Academic staff by virtue of the law. Accordingly, the burden of disciplinary accountability falls on those referred to the Council.

-Performing the financial work to find out the directions of spending from the budget items and places of increase in the spending in any item and stand on its basis and implement the directives and financial Signatures and what can be amended by strengthening it from other items and what cannot be touched or moved from it and trying to rationalize spending from it.

– Expressing his opinion on any subject that is referred by the President of the University and the deputies for study and re-presentation in accordance with the university laws and regulations.

– Dealing with any problems that may hinder the work process and its various activities by directing, organizing, following up and coordinating between the authorities.

-Assigning other similar work in light of the duties and responsibilities of the job.
