As a preparation for introducing various sports shows in the opening ceremony of the first African Universities Youth Week 19th to 25th Oct. 2019, around 1200 students of the faculty of physical education are doing two-period daily exercises. Aswan university president Prof. Ahmed Ghallab Mohamed stated that the students that will participate in the event are doing these exercises since the beginning of July in preparation for this important event in which 21 African universities, 23 Egyptian universities as well as the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport will take part.
The vice chairman of the organizing committee and the general coordinator of the African Universities Youth Week Prof. Abdulrahman Abdulbaset declared that the opening ceremony will be held at Aswan Stadium and will include a concert by Black Tema band, the Sudanese Artist Abdullah Al-Baio and Abdul Hadi Shando.
