Aswan University Hospital provides medical care to the victims of a tourist bus accident on Abo Simbel Road

The hospital received the injured from the bus overturning incident that occurred this morning at kilometer 80 on Abo simbel Road, resulting in 13 injuries and 3 fatalities. Prof. Ayman Osman, President of Aswan University, promptly directed that all necessary first aid be administered and complete medical care be provided to the injured.

Prof. Mohamed Zaki El-Dahshouri, Dean of Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Aswan University Hospitals, stated that the injured are currently being examined, transferred to appropriate departments, and undergoing necessary surgical procedures. The injuries include:

1. Abdel-Rahman Osman, 62, Sudanese – fracture of the right shoulder and arm.
2. Khalaf Heshmat Selim, 48, Egyptian – fractures of the right forearm, pelvis, and vertebrae.
3. Lina Ahmed Hussein, 27, Sudanese – facial laceration.
4. Abdel-Rahman Haroun, 23, Sudanese – chest and pelvic injuries.
5. Abdel-Rahman Al-Tayeb, 8, Sudanese.
6. Thuraya Al-Fakih Abdel-Rahman, 48, Sudanese – pelvic and complete spinal injuries.
7. Ali Abdel-Rahman Osman, 8, Sudanese.
8. Badr Ibrahim Tawfiq, 20, Egyptian – pelvic and complete vertebral fractures.
9. Maha Ahmed Rehab, 46, Sudanese.
10. Fawzi Al-Nour Mohamed, 58, Sudanese – complete vertebral fractures and pelvic fracture.
11. Marghani Hassan Adam, 30, Sudanese – pelvic and right thigh fractures.
12. Haitham Abdel-Aziz, 43, Sudanese – fractures of the right knee, pelvis, left shoulder, and spine
13. Unknown identity, Sudanese – pelvic and complete vertebral fractures and thigh fracture

Dr. Ashraf Mebed, Executive Director of Aswan University Hospitals, confirmed that all necessary medical teams are available to provide treatment. The hospital extends its heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased, who include:

1. Eman Aziz Mohamed, 41, Sudanese.
2. Basel Ezz El-din Abdel-Majed, 42, Sudanese.
3. Omar Abdelrahman Osman, 25, Sudanese.

The bodies have been transferred to the morgue.
