Prof. Loai Saad El-Deen Nasrat, Acting President of Aswan University, received Major General. Mohamed Al-Moatasim, the Director of the Qena Recruitment Area, to discuss ways of mutual cooperation between the two sides.
Prof. Loai Saad El-Deen Nasrat stated that the Qena Recruitment Department will organize a special ceremony to distribute exemption certificates from military service to university students with disabilities. The event is scheduled to take place on February 25th, with the presence of Major General Dr. Ismail Kamal, the Governor of Aswan, Major General Ahmed Saleh, the Director of the Armed Forces Recruitment and Mobilization Department, and executive and popular leadership figures from the governorate. This initiative is in line with the state’s strategic vision to support this important group, and it confirms the ongoing efforts of the political leadership, particularly President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, who places special emphasis on people with disabilities, ensuring their access to all forms of support and opportunities for a dignified life.
In this context, the university president praised the role of the General Command of the Armed Forces in supporting this precious segment of the nation’s citizens. The Recruitment and Mobilization Department has launched an exceptional initiative, including medical checks and completing the military service procedures for students of Aswan University with special needs, whose time for military service has come.
Nasrat added that the ceremony will take place on February 25th at the Marshal Tantawi Hall in the university’s Sahari campus. It will include the distribution of exemption certificates to students with disabilities in Aswan Governorate. This event is part of an integrated plan implemented by the Recruitment and Mobilization Department in Qena, which aims to provide all possible facilities and opportunities to ease the lives of these students.
Nasrat expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Egyptian Armed Forces, considering them the stronghold and safe homeland. He extended deep thanks to everyone who contributed to this blessed initiative, expressing his pride and admiration for the fruitful cooperation between Aswan University and the Recruitment Department.
Nasrat also called on the parents of students with disabilities in Aswan Governorate to contact the Special Education Department at the Directorate of Education or the Special Education Department at Aswan University, in addition to the care centers at the Directorate of Social Solidarity. He urged them to visit the nearest recruitment office in their area of residence to complete the necessary procedures and documents to obtain exemption certificates from military service. It is noteworthy that the event will be supervised by Lieutenant Colonel Mohamed Hamdy, the Director of the Aswan Recruitment Area, and the General Administration of Student Care at the university.
