Aswan University Concludes the Development Ambassadors Training for Government Excellence

Prof. Loay Saad El-Deen Nasrat, Acting President of Aswan University, concluded the activities of the training course for Development Ambassadors, as part of the university’s preparations to participate in the Government Excellence Award. The award is held under the patronage of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and the Ministry of Planning, Economic Development, and International Cooperation.

The event, which began on Wednesday, was attended by Prof. Ashraf Imam, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environment Development; Dr. Abdel Hakim Radwan, Evaluation and Quality Advisor at the Government Excellence Project in the Ministry of Planning; and Dr. Abdel Moneim El-Gilani, Dean of the Institute of African and Nile states Research and Studies, along with a number of Academic staff from 18 participating faculties.

Prof. Loay Saad El-Deen Nasrat affirmed that Aswan University places institutional excellence and sustainable development at the top of its priorities, focusing on preparing its academic and administrative staff to compete strongly at the level of Egyptian universities. He added that this course is not merely a preparation for the competition, but rather part of the university’s strategy to instill a culture of quality and excellence, and to enhance the university’s effective participation in national forums with the aim of achieving advanced rankings.

He pointed out that the course started on Wednesday and lasted for two days, concluding today, Thursday, at the Information Center, with the participation of representatives from various faculties of the university. College files will now be prepared and formally submitted for the selection of the top five faculties to participate through the approved platform at the national university level.

The course aims to enhance the capacity of Faculties work teams in preparing competitive files that highlight the quality of institutional performance, thereby boosting the university’s chances of advancing in the Government Excellence Award.

Prof. Ashraf Imam, Vice President of the University, explained that Aswan University’s participation in the award represents a unique opportunity to showcase its efforts in development and community service. He stressed that the university seeks to be a model of leadership in both community engagement and education.

For his part, Prof. Abdel Hakim Radwan noted that Aswan University is one of the promising institutions in the Government Excellence Project, praising the awareness and commitment of the participants during the course, and their dedication to sustainable institutional transformation based on performance and quality standards. The event witnessed constructive discussions and an exchange of views between participants and trainers via the training platform.
