Aswan University convened the selection committee for the Dean of the Faculty of Law, chaired by Prof. Loai Saad El-Deen Nasrat, Acting President of the University, and composed of a distinguished group of senior professors and experts in the legal and academic fields.
The committee included in its membership:
Prof. Ahmed Gamal El-Din Moussa, Professor at the Faculty of Law, Mansoura University, and former Minister of Education, Prof. Fathy Mohamed Fikry, Professor at the Faculty of Law, Cairo University, Prof. Ahmed Ghallab Mohamed, Emeritus Professor at the Faculty of Agriculture and former President of Aswan University, Prof. Ahmed Sokarno Abdel-Hafez, Emeritus Professor at the Faculty of Arts, Aswan University
The meeting was attended by Mr. Khaled Asran, Secretary-General of the University. Two candidates applied for the position who are Prof. Ayman Ahmed Ali Abdelghaffar, Prof. Mohamed Ahmed Metwally Ismail. The committee listened to the candidates’ visions for developing the faculty, enhancing its self-generated resources, and improving the quality of its education and scientific research systems.
Prof. Loai Saad El-Deen Nasrat emphasized that Aswan University is committed to the highest standards of transparency and objectivity in selecting university leadership. He affirmed that the selection of the Dean of the Faculty of Law will be based on scientific competence and a clear development vision that serves the interests of students and enhances the faculty’s standing in both educational and administrative spheres to advance the overall system of education and scientific research.
This committee meeting comes as part of the university’s ongoing efforts to modernize its administrative structure and implement its strategic plans aimed at advancing all its faculties and unique academic disciplines.
