In line with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and with the launch of the first phase of university admissions coordination for the academic year 2026/2027, which began on Wednesday, August 5, and will continue through Wednesday, August 12, 2026, Aswan University has announced the completion of its preparations to receive General Secondary School students from both the new and old educational systems. The university is providing electronic coordination services through computer laboratories equipped with the latest technology to ensure a secure, and high-quality registration process.
According to the Ministry of Higher Education, the minimum admission scores for the first phase are as follows:
- New System:
- Science Stream: 292 grade
- Engineering Stream: 5 grade
- Literary Stream: 229 grade
- Old System:
- Science Stream: 369 grade
- Engineering Stream: 347 grade
- Literary Stream: 270 grade
Prof. Mohamed Abdel Aziz Mehallel, Acting President of Aswan University, affirmed that the university has harnessed all its human and technical resources to ensure the success of the electronic coordination process, in line with the Ministry’s directives and the university’s commitment to providing the highest level of service to students and their families.
He noted that the university has fully equipped its coordination laboratories with modern computers and technical infrastructure, while assigning specialized teams of engineers, technicians, and administrative staff to provide guidance and technical assistance throughout the application process, ensuring that students can complete their registration accurately, efficiently, and in an organized environment.
The Acting President added that the coordination laboratories will receive students daily throughout the first phase, urging students to carefully arrange their university preferences according to their academic interests and the geographical distribution regulations. He also encouraged students to benefit from the guidance provided by university staff, emphasizing that selecting the right academic specialization is the first step toward a successful academic and professional future.
Prof. Ashraf Emam, Vice President for Community Service and Environment Development and Supervisor of the Education and Student Affairs Sector, stated that the university has completed all technical preparations for the electronic coordination process. Two coordination laboratories have been equiped: one at the Sahari Campus and another at Faculty of Engineering, Abo El-rish Campus. Together, they provide 50 computers, with 25 devices in each laboratory, all connected to high-speed internet to ensure fast and efficient online registration.
He added that the university has also created a comfortable and supportive environment for students and their families while ensuring continuous guidance and assistance throughout the coordination period, facilitating procedures and delivering high-quality services.
Meanwhile, Dr. Mohamed Eid, Director of the Information and Communications Networks Center at Aswan University, explained that the center has deployed teams of engineers and IT specialists to provide technical support, respond to students’ inquiries, and continuously monitor the performance of the network and computer systems throughout the coordination period to ensure uninterrupted service.
He noted that attendance on the first day was relatively limited, which is expected at the beginning of the coordination period, attributing this in part to the high temperatures in Aswan. He anticipated increased attendance in the coming days and advised students not to wait until the final hours of the registration period to avoid congestion on the electronic coordination website.
In conclusion, Aswan University reaffirmed that its coordination laboratories will continue to receive students daily during the official working hours specified by the Ministry of Higher Education, providing comprehensive technical support and guidance. The university emphasized its commitment to facilitating the electronic admissions process and delivering distinguished educational and administrative services that reflect its dedication to quality, excellence, and the successful start of the new academic year.
