  • Aswan University has continued to prioritize pedestrian access on campus. To:
  • encourage walking and reduce dependency on cars
  • Protect the environment and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by limiting the use of cars.
  • Improve the health and wellbeing of faculty staff, employees and students through encouraging walkability and movement.
  • Aswan University is working to prioritize pedestrian access on campus through the development of sidewalks for walking by lighting, shading them, and making them more suitable for walking.

The University also supports giving priority to the entry of pedestrians into the university campus by applying the Sustainable Mobility Policy, which aims to encourage and improve sustainable mobility to and from the university campus, change the culture of daily transportation for faculty members, their assistants, and university employees, and improve their physical and health fitness. Encouraging them to use active means of transportation instead of relying on fuel-consuming and environmentally polluting automatic means of transportation.
