Under the auspice of Prof.Ayman Mahmoud Othman-Acting of Aswan University President and his continuous interest in completing the university’s service, educational and medical role towards Africa according to the directives of His Excellency / Abdel Fattah Al Sisi-President of the Egypt Republic to extend the cooperation roots between Aswan University and African Universities especially after the President’s decision to make Aswan Governorate the capital of culture, economy, and African youth; Aswan University enabled to conclude the events of the medical convey in Tanzania headed by Prof. Mohamed Zaki Al-Dahshoury – Dean of Faculty of Medicine and several professors of the faculty of medicine in the various specialties.
Events started on 22nd July 2021 and continue to 30 July 2021. The faculty of medicine professors conducted dozens of surgical cases from the sister Tanzania checking and providing treatment to thousands of patients in the various works and specialties.
From his side, “Al-Dahshoury” stated that the events of the medical convey have been concluded by conducting 29 various malformations in the specialty of urology; which are considered from the delicate surgeries that demand an experience for several years in this field including urethra deformities with its various degrees, bladder inversion and intersexuality cases in Sheki Hospital in addition to 20 various surgeries for elderlies in Urinary Tract that were conducted by Dr. Ahmed Salah El-Din – Lecturer of Urology Department in the Faculty of Medicine at Aswan including Urinary incontinence that was conducted in Witter Pemba Island Hospital, Zanzibar City.
Prof. Mohamed Zaki Al-Dahshoury indicated that fruitful cooperation between the Tanzanian Ministry of Health and the Faculty of Medicine and Aswan University Hospitals will be the beginning of fruitful cooperation to extend scientific medical roots so soon.
