Aswan university has set measurements to upgrade all buildings to higher energy efficiency, based on that, Aswan University has set an “ASWU Energy Efficiency Action Plan “, that demonstrates the standards we set to achieve the Energy Efficiency and follow these standards in all renovations and new buildings to be Green Buildings by 2030.
Moreover, Aswan University developed a policy “sustainable building policy” to standardize efforts and planning procedures to support higher energy efficiency.
Based on the National Energy Efficiency Improvement Plan (2018-2020) for the Arab Republic of Egypt, Aswan University decided to modernize all university buildings, as all lighting units were replaced with energy-saving units, and solar cell units were established in the building at the Faculty of Engineering and Energy Engineering that produce about 100 megawatts.
