Faculty of Natural Agriculture – Aswan University announces holding a training course entitled”
“Therapeutic feeding between disease and medicine”
Today, Faculty of Agriculture _ Aswan University _organized a training course on therapeutic Nutrition”, entitled “Nutrition between disease and medicine”, lasting for two days, under the auspices of Prof. Ahmed Ghallab_ University President.
Dr. Yasser Abdel- Hamid Diab_ Faculty of Agriculture Dean in Aswan, said that the course is attended by 80 trainees from Faculty of Agriculture, graduates, and of faculties students, who are interested in the field of therapeutic nutrition, under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed Abo El-lail, Vice Dean for Environment Affairs and Community Service.
Dr. Hisham Zakaria Tawfiq_ Lecturer in the Department of Food Science and Technology at Faculty of Agriculture, added that the training course aims to provide the trainees with basic skills in the field of general nutrition, and knowing the basics of food rationing and how to benefit from it.
Tawfiq added that the course included shedding light on functional foods, which are foods that perform certain functions in the body, and how to use them to help in treating various diseases, in addition to providing the trainees with basic skills in planning meals for diabetics.
