Sports venue participation for the year (2022-2023)

Holding Future leaders’ events in (five-a-side) football match at Aswan University Sports Stadium 2022/2023

 

Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Osman, President of Aswan University, Dr. Adel Mohamed Abdel-Moneim Mekki, Dean of Faculty of Physical Education, Dr. Nasser Shaaban, and Islam Youssef, Advisor to the President of the University for Student Affairs, participated in the second round of the Future Leaders league with a five-a-side football match. This sporting event took place at the sports fields of Aswan University in the Sahari campus. The participation in this sporting event aims to encourage sports and develop the athletic abilities of students across various activities to graduate a well-rounded generation as part of the “Sports as National Security” initiative implemented by Aswan University, following the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi on the importance of sports for youth and working to prepare them to become future leaders.

Dr. Ayman Osman, President of Aswan University, stated that the idea for the Future Leaders training program emerged from the President’s directives regarding the importance of preparing and training youth.

He stated that the program aims to prepare Aswan University students for leadership and to establish a strong base of student competencies qualified for leadership, administrative, and community work to build a strong society capable of facing challenges, achieving the program’s vision of creating a generation capable of taking on social responsibilities and working across various sectors and fields.

The training program includes courses in administrative and economic sciences, social sciences, life skills, digital transformation, and entrepreneurship. It also features workshops on personality types, self-esteem, self-marketing, social intelligence, time management skills, and utilizing youth energies in sports, social, scientific, and cultural contexts.

Islam Youssef, the supervisor of the program, explained that the students in the second round are happy with the interaction, participation, and interest shown by the university president during the opening of the events and the sports participation, which is part of the “Sports as National Security” initiative.
