Aswan University has set an “ASWU Energy Efficiency Action Plan “, Plan to reduce energy consumption, as:
- Implementation of saving lighting systems using LED bulbs.
- The use of electronics and electrical appliances with conforming standards to rationalize energy consumption.
- Reducing the number of operating hours of air conditioners in the summer and preventing their use in the winter.
- Establishing incubators to contain and apply community ideas and design programs to save energy at an affordable cost.
Moreover, Aswan University applied a “sustainable building policy” to reduce energy consumption and to support higher energy efficiency.
Aswan University is developing an energy efficiency plan to reduce the total energy consumption by establishing Solar Chimney Technology for generating power in Aswan and its ability to generate clean energy.
Aswan University as a partner in project Geothermal Energy Building in Egypt (GEB), GEB is looking for building the capacity in a new environmentally friendly energy era exploited from the Egyptian territories.
