Prof. Loai Saad El-Deen Nasrat, Acting President of Aswan University, expressed his deep appreciation for the outstanding scientific and engineering projects presented by school students during the Local Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF 2026), which reflected an advanced level of innovation and scientific research among young students and youth. This came during his participation in the exhibition, which was held under the patronage of Major General Dr. Ismail Kamal, Governor of Aswan, and attended by Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar, President of the Academy; Dr. Faisal Abdel Hamid, Vice President of the Academy in Aswan; Mahmoud Badawy, Director General of the Directorate of Education; in addition to Academic staff and executive leaders of the governorate.
In his speech, Prof. Loai Saad El-Deen Nasrat affirmed that the scientific innovations he witnessed prove that the sons and daughters of Aswan are capable of achieving leadership and shaping a bright technological future for Egypt. He pointed out that the promising minds participating in the exhibition represent a national asset that must be invested in, as they form the nucleus of a generation capable of competition and innovation across various scientific and engineering fields.
Prof. Nasrat added that organizing this exhibition comes within the framework of the supportive directives of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi toward empowering youth, providing an enabling environment for creativity, and promoting a culture of scientific research and entrepreneurship. This contributes to building a qualified human base capable of leading the national economy toward more advanced and developed horizons.
The Acting President of the University stressed Aswan University’s keenness to continue cooperation with pre-university education institutions and to provide technical and scientific support to outstanding students, with the aim of transforming their ideas and projects into applied models capable of entering production stages and competing in local and international forums.
At the conclusion of the event, Prof. Loai Saad El-Deen Nasrat took part in honoring the winning students and those qualified for the national-level competitions, as well as recognizing the judging committees and organizing bodies. He emphasized that such experiences play a pivotal role in fostering a spirit of scientific excellence and entrenching a culture of innovation among new generations.
