Aswan University has a remarkable department in the Faculty of Specific Education for Music Education. This Department working on preparing educational, artistic and musical Teacher and qualified to serve society of educational foundations and culture palaces to be able to innovation and contribute to developing the musical activities and community development in specialty field and participate in spreading musical awareness and culture with working on developing the musical taste to complete the society requirements in specialty field. Students of the Music Education Department perform annual performances, and other periodic performances for example:

Aswan University President attends the Activities of the Symposium “The Role of Music Education in Forming a National Sense among Community Members” at Faculty of Specific Education

The Faculty of Specific Education, Aswan University, organized an educational symposium entitled “The Role of Music Education in Forming a National Sense among Community Members” under the patronage of Major General. Ashraf Attia, Governor of Aswan, and Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Othman, President of Aswan University, and in the presence of His Grace Bishop Bishoy, Bishop of Aswan, Kom Ombo and Edfu, Prof. Loai Saad El-Deen Nasrat, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Mohamed Rashed, Dean of the Faculty, and the Community Service and Environment Development Sector at the Faculty. The symposium was lectured by Prof. Amira Sayed, former Dean of the Faculty of Music Education, Helwan University, and Prof. Sherin Abdel-Latif, Dean of the Faculty of Music Education, Helwan University. The symposium included an introductory lecture on the presidential initiative “Decent Life”, which was given by the Coordinator of Decent Life in Aswan Governorate.

Aswan University Participates in the 10th Aswan Festival for Arts and Culture

Aswan University, under the patronage of Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Osman, President of Aswan University, participated in the 10th Aswan Festival for Arts and Culture, held in Aswan. The event was also under patronage of Major General. Ashraf Attia, Governor of Aswan, and Dr. Nevin El-Kilani, Minister of Culture. The festival was attended by the artist. Aswan University Organizes the First Artistic Festival to hone Students’ Artistic, Cultural, and Creative Talents

In the context of implementing the plan for student activities at Aswan University, under patronage of Prof. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Osman, President of Aswan University, and under the supervision of Prof. Loai Saad El-Din Nasrat, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, the university is committed to fostering student activities and talent.

Aswan University celebrates International Youth Day in cooperation with the Egypt Youth Foundation for Development

Under the auspices of Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Othman – President of the University – Aswan University organized the activities of the celebration of International Youth Day 2022, in cooperation with the Egypt Youth Foundation for Development in the conference hall of Faculty of Engineering, Aswan University, in the presence of Prof. Loai Saad El-Deen Nasrat – Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs – and in the presence of Prof. Khaled Abdel-Hafez Mohamed – Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Egypt Youth Foundation for Development. For his part, Prof. Loai Saad El-Deen stressed during his speech the importance of the role of youth in building the future and working to enhance belonging and loyalty among youth to the homeland in light of the unprecedented boom and renaissance witnessed by the new republic in various development sectors.

Awareness Symposium entitled “Military Salute in Love of Egypt

On the occasion of Egypt’s celebrations of the forty-ninth anniversary of the glorious October victories, the Community Affairs and Environment Services Sector at the Faculty organized an educational Symposium entitled – Military Salute in Love of Egypt – under the auspices of Prof. Ayman Othman – President of the University and the supervision of Prof. Loai Nasrat – Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs and Prof. Mohamed Rashed – Dean of the Faculty and the attendance and supervision of Prof. Rajaa Ali Abdel-Alim – Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Affairs and Environment Services

Introductory Symposium on E-Learning

Under the auspices of Prof. Mohamed Abdel-Hamid Rashid – Dean of the Faculty and the supervision of Prof. Rajaa Ali Abdel-Aleem – Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environment Development Affairs, and within the framework of cooperation between the Faculty of Specific Education and Umm Habeeba Foundation, which implements the Youth Skills Development Project targeting university graduates, a group of faculty students attended the introductory Symposium on e-learning organized by Umm Habeeba Foundation in cooperation with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.

Artistic participation in the celebration of the silver jubilee of the Nubian Museum in Aswan

Prof. Ayman Othman – President of the University and Prof. Loai  Nasrat – Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs witnessed the grand celebration held on Wednesday 23/11/2022 on the occasion of the silver jubilee of the opening of this museum. The celebration included artistic performances and an exhibition of fine arts in which distinguished artworks were participated by Academic staff of the Department of Art Education at the Faculty. During his inspection of the exhibition, the university president praised what he saw of paintings and creative artworks, praising this participation that reflects the keenness of Academic staff at the Faculty to participate in all artistic and cultural events at the level of Aswan Governorate; which highlights the role of the Faculty in the artistic movement in the governorate.

First Entrepreneurship Forum

Under the auspices of Prof. Ayman Othman – President of the University and Prof. Loai Nasrat – Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs – Faculty of Commerce, in cooperation with Faculty of Specific Education, organized yesterday, Wednesday, the first joint forum entitled Entrepreneurship in Student and Graduate Projects and the Path to Sustainable Development – and under the supervision of Prof. Muhammad Abdel Hamid Rashid – Dean of the Faculty – Prof. Eman Wagdy – Vice Dean of the Faculty for Graduate Studies and Research – and the assistant staff in the Department of Art Education participated in the works of the forum, which aims to integrate students’ artistic ideas with the concepts of entrepreneurship and how to use simple materials from household waste in the surrounding environment to produce products and artworks that bear the visual identity of Aswan Governorate. During the forum’s activities, Prof. Eman Wagdy presented an explanation of a number of artistic works and products, how to manufacture them, and the materials used from the environment, amidst appreciation from the attendees for the artistic value of these works, which reflect the role of the Faculty of Specific Education in interacting with the surrounding environment, Aswan society, and youth issues.

Organizing cultural awareness symposiums at the Faculty in attendance of the university president and a group of Aswan leaders

The Faculty organized a number of events, including an educational symposium entitled The Role of Music Education in Forming a National Sense among Community Members, which was attended by Prof.  Ayman Othman – President of the University, Bishop Bishoy of Aswan and its Dependencies, Prof. Loai Nasrat – Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Mohamed Rashed – Dean of the Faculty,  churchmen, Faculty deputies, Academic staff and their assistants.

Entrepreneurship Week at the University

Aswan University is organizing Entrepreneurship Week from 12:16 March, which includes a cultural competition on entrepreneurship. Students wishing to participate should go to the Youth Care Office at the Faculty to learn about all the conditions and dates for this competition.

In order to achieve the goals and mission of the Faculty in serving the local community ..
