10.6.7 Accessible facilities

Aswan University works to overcome the obstacles that students with disabilities may face during the educational process at the university.

All new buildings and 75% of old buildings are wheelchair accessible. We are working on a small percentage of buildings that are not ready to be accessible facilities for people with disabilities. Aswan University has special laboratories for people with disabilities and people with special needs, equipped with computers and devices equipped with speech recognition technology installed on them, and those auditoriums, halls and educational classes have been allocated in the basement floors.

The university has also allocated corridors for students with disabilities to facilitate walking through them in order to preserve their health and physical safety

The university’s dormitories have also allocated the lower floors for students with heart diseases and students with disabilities, after signing a medical examination on them.
