2.5.2 Events for local farmers and food producers to connect and transfer knowledge
Consistent with UN SDGs, Aswan University seeks through the Agricultural Experiments and Research Center at the Faculty of Agriculture and Natural Resources, to provide various activities and services that serve the agricultural sector in its various fields, the surrounding community, and achieve the desired coordination between scientific research and economic production.
To ensure a sustainable community and environment, Aswan University provides access to its labs, orchards,agricultural greenhousesand libraries, to countries, organizations and individuals concerned with Sustainable agriculture and food security.
We play an active role as a lead University to provide local and international community with knowledge, skills technology on food security and Sustainable agriculture.

-On (28/9/2024), (Report of the Agricultural Development Guidance convoy)
Within the framework of the presidential initiative, the Faculty participated in the agricultural development convoy to the village of Al-Hajz Bahri – Edfu – Aswan, in order to contribute to finding solutions to some of the problems facing farmers and the most important advanced methods to obtain the highest productivity in cultivated crops and increase production rates
-On (3/11/2024), (Report on the visit to the Technical Secondary School for Fishing and Fish Farming)
The Technical Secondary School for Fishing and Fish Farming was visited to faculty of Agriculture on 3/11/2024, during which the Faculty laboratories were visited and the importance of these laboratories in the agricultural sector was identified. The plant production farm was visited and the most important plants grown on the farm were identified.
-On (11/12/2024), (Environment Affairs Agency, Nature Reserves Sector- Southern Region Reserves) (Introductory Seminar on the Seed Bank)
An introductory seminar on the Seed Bank and its importance was held in the seminar hall at the Faculty.
-On (13/11/2024), (Report of Nuba Al Mostaqbal School Visit)
Nuba Al Mostaqbal School visited the faculty of Agriculture on 11/13/2024, during which the various faculty laboratories were visited and the importance of these laboratories in the agricultural sector was identified. The plant production farm was visited and the most important plants grown on the farm were identified.
Within the framework of field training for students of the Department of Animal Production and under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Yasser Abdel Hamid Diab – Dean of the College, the Department of Animal Production organized two training courses
The first is entitled “Health care scientifically and practically” from 1/8 to 3/8
The second is entitled “Reproductive care of farm animals, scientifically and practically, in the period from 4/8 to 5/8

The Second session of“The Basic Training Curriculum for Pesticide Operators”.
The title of “Basic training for pesticide operators” in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture

On the 6th of Mar 2023, Visiting the School of Excellence in Science and Technology in Luxor
Within the framework of the cooperation protocol between the School of Excellence in Science and Technology in Luxor and Aswan University, the school undertook a scientific visit to the students of the Second Division to the Faculty of Fish and Fisheries Technology of Aswan University and the Faculty of Agriculture and Natural Resources of Aswan University in order to assist students with scientific projects (Capstone projects).
The Faculty of Fish and Fisheries Technology provided a series of scientific lectures, including Scientific lecture on fish farming and scientific lecture on the importance of integrated farming, PowerPoint performances and videos on the college and its departments. The lecture was presented by Professor Dr. Rajaa Abdullah Ahmed Assistant Professor of Fish Nutrition in College.
The students then went on a field tour accompanied by doctors and returnees to the fishmonger and the college fish pool to learn about the types of jokes and farming systems.
A scientific lecture on the most important fish diseases was given by Dr. Omima Abdul Karim, Assistant Professor of Fish Pathology and Welfare at the College. Students were introduced to the scientific bodies used in the Fish Feeding Plant and the Fish Health and Disease Laboratory.
On the 20th of Sep 2022, Training course entitled “Fisheries fabrication technology”
The training course on fish ornamental technology was held for college students, postgraduate students and those interested in fish husbandry in agricultural and veterinary fields. Lectures were given on relationship manufacturing and methods of laboratory analysis to determine its validity and ways of preserving it in order to deliberate it in healthy ways.
The lectures were delivered by Dr. Rajah Abdullah and Dr. Omima Abdulkareem, Faculty of Fish and Fisheries Technology, University of Aswan.
On the 26th of May 2022, Training trip to Dubrovnik during the period for students of the International Master’s Program for the European Union-funded Erasmus project
Training trip to Dubrovnik during the period for students of the International Master’s Program for the European Union-funded Erasmus project May 26, 2022 Within the framework of the study plan of the international master’s degree program in “Science in sustainable management of fisheries and aquaculture”, the program is the product of a joint collaboration between four Egyptian universities (Arab Academy of Science, Technology and Maritime Transport – Alexandria University – Aswan University and Matrouh University) with four European universities in countries (Portugal, Italy GG- Croatia – Slovenia – Slovenia).
This joint cooperation is part of the activities of the project “Sharing knowledge in sustainable management of fisheries and aquaculture in the Mediterranean”, funded by the European Union, Erasmus.
Distinguished students enrolled in the international master’s degree at the Faculty of Fish and Fisheries Technology, Aswan University, were given a travel opportunity to study and train one of the European universities participating in the project, the University of Dubrovnik, Republic of Croatia.
Dubrovnik is also located in southern Croatia on the Adriatic coast and is one of the most prominent tourist destinations on the Adriatic Sea.
The delegation of Aswan University students arrived in Dubrovnik at that time, accompanied by Dr. Rajah Abdullah – Aswan University Fish Feeding Teacher and received by Dr. Tetyana – Professor of Marine Biology. The work schedule for the visit and introduction of some tourist areas of the city was agreed.
Dr. Rajah Abdallah, a fish feeding teacher, explained that the program included the first day of the visit of the Egyptian delegation to the University of Dubrovnik (main building), where they were received by Professor Sandra – Head of the International Bureau with a warm ovation and provided a simplified explanation of the university colleges, the most important disciplines in existence and the study system.
Visit activities varied between field visits to the Aquatic Museum and Locrum Island, a spectacular and uninhabited nature reserve 600 metres from the historic port of Dubrovnik in the Adriatic Sea, which contains the ruins of a former Benedictine monastery Students also received a number of theoretical lectures and practical training in sample collection, RNA analysis and extraction of tinctures and enzymes, It examined the apparent and anatomical form of oysters, as well as the isolation of some pathogens from fish. Students have shown remarkable skill in practical applications, which have been praised by faculty professors at Dubrovnik University.
At the conclusion of the visit, Professor Titana reviewed the dates of future meetings of participants in the international master’s programme from future Egyptian and European universities.
On the 21st of Mar 2022, Training course on ” Master’s Degree in Sustainable Fisheries and Aquaculture Management”, funded by the European Union Arsenal.
The Faculty of Fish and Fisheries Technology on Monday morning, March 21, 22 a delegation of Italian professors and researchers in the framework of cooperation between 4 Egyptian universities. (Aswan University – Arab Academy of Science, Technology and Maritime Transport – Alexandria University – Matrouh University) 4 European universities (Portugal, Italy, Croatia, Slovenia) In the new unique and distinct program of Egyptian universities, the “Master’s Degree in Sustainable Management of Fisheries and Aquaculture” program, the first day of the visit was aimed at the familiarization between the Egyptian and Italian sides and the visit to the fisheries feeding plant and the fish farming board. and Professor Dr. Al Hussein Ammar gave a lecture on the characteristics of Lake Nasser, its most important features and the fish species available.
Aswan University holds a training course under the title of “Managing Fish Farms”where the course discussed some of the following points:
Discuss the economic feasibility of fish farms
Fish farm water quality management.
Hygienic procedures for handling and caring for fish
Presentation of the desert exploitation project in integrated agriculture
