Aswan University Holds a Training Course on Fish Farming Management

Aswan university acting president Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Othman said that as a reflection of the State’s keenness on Egypt Vision 2030 for comprehensive development, the faculty of fisheries technology organized a training course under the title “Fish Farming Management”. The course lasted for 2 days and handled the following subjects; economic feasibility of fish farms, managing the quality of fish farms’ water and health procedures for handling and taking care of fish. The course was concluded by introducing a project on exploiting desert in aquaculture integration.

  For his part, Dr. Salah El Dein Fekry, dean of the faculty fisheries technology and fish, said that this course is the first of a series of training courses that will address various important topics in the field of fisheries as a serious step to spread the culture of fish farming in Aswan governorate and provide technical support and advice to young people regarding setting up farming projects as well as educating fishermen about the right practices.
