Faculty of Archaeology in Aswan University in cooperation with Southern University at New Orleans organized the international workshop entitled ”Modern Technological Applications in the Show of Museum and Maintaining of Antiquities” in attendance of Egyptian American Prof. Haitham Eid and under the patronage of Prof. Ahmed Ghallab-Aswan University President.
American Master Students attended the workshop and this during their current scientific visit to in addition to a number of students in Egyptology in Faculty of Archaeology in Aswan University, Managers of Administrations in Antiquities Authority in Aswan Government and Prof.Abdulrahman Abdul Basset- Supervisor of Community Service Sector &Environmental Development in Aswan University under the patronage of Dr. Mohamed Gabr Shdeed-Dean of Faculty of Archaeology .
Ghallab confirmed that this workshop is organized for keeping up modern applications in the museum show of Egyptian Antiquities according to what is followed by the international museums in this field.
Dr. Ahmed Sallam –coordinator of the workshop added that prof. Haithem Eid trained the participants in a workshop on ”QR” Program which registered antiquities in museums by the modern scientific way where each artifact has its barcode.
He declared that Prof.Haitham Eid suggested applying for this program in Nubian Museum as it is considered an international museum, especially in there, is no financial cost at all in the case of applying for this program. He pointed out that participants are trained in the workshop on this program inside Training Center in Aswan University and coordination with E-Site of American University.
