Aswan University participates in the fourth annual forum of University Centers for Career development

      Aswan University participated in the closing session of the fourth annual forum, which was held under the auspices and in attendance of Dr. Ayman Ashour – Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and in attendance of a group of university presidents, and which is organized by the University Centers for Career Development Project, which the American University in Cairo is implementing in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. In cooperation with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in Egypt.

        This was in attendance of Dr. Ayman Mahmoud Othman – Aswan University President,  Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Aziz Mehallal – Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research – and the work team of Aswan University Center for Career Development.

        Dr. Ayman Mahmoud Othman praised the role of the center at the university and its ability to create partnerships with actors in the labor market in Aswan and its keenness to sign many memorandums of cooperation with all actors in the labor market in Aswan Governorate, which aim to provide practical training opportunities for university students and graduates in the systems of various companies and institutions.

        Dr. Ayman Othman added that the University Centers for Career development project implemented by the American University in Cairo in cooperation with the United States Agency for International Development and the Ministry of Higher Education, which began in 2017 at Aswan University. The University Centers for Career Development have reached 46 centers at the level of 34 public and private universities, and the centers are working on… Equipping students with the skills required for the labor market. One of its most important components is conducting labor market studies, while concluding various partnerships with business owners and companies in the governorate.

       Dr. Mohamed Abdel Aziz Mehallal pointed to the efforts of the University Center for Career Development, which the Center provides to the students and graduates of the Center and work to qualify them for the labor market in partnership with business owners and companies, and work to develop the skills of Aswan University students by providing them with practical training and employment opportunities by providing many activities, Practical training for students and graduates of Aswan University.

        It is worth noting that the Career Development Center at Aswan University has provided more than 1,500 job opportunities and practical training in companies and factories in many different sectors and specializations, and has worked to produce graduates with a high degree of competence and skill required for the labor market. Since its opening on January 16, 2020, the center has been able to provide More than 30,000 high-quality training and vocational qualification opportunities, and 12 cooperation agreements were signed with major companies and institutions operating in Aswan.
